Ann Arbor, Michigan – June 22, 2009

Xembedded LLC, a XycomVME Company, has announced the XCPC-9200 CompactPCI Dual Carrier module. Our new CompactPCI Dual PMC Carrier module provides 25 Watts of power to each PMC site. The XCPC-9200 is well suited for 10Gigabit Ethernet, PMC I/O or FPGA PMC modules requiring more than the standard 12 Watts of power supply outlined in the IEEE- P1386.2001 specification. Using the industry standard PLX® PCI-6540 PCIX-to-PCIX transparent bridge, the XCPC-9200 supports the PMC and CompactPCI interface with a 32/64-bit data path and bus speeds of 66/133MHz on the PMC sites and 33/66 MHz on the CompactPCI bus. The XCPC-9200 functions well in both 3.3VI/O and 5VI/O backplanes. The PMC sites support 3.3VI/O.

XCPC-9200 is available in Conduction Cooled, -40 to 85° C and Air Cooled -25 to 70° C versions. The high wattage dual PMC carrier is designed for high-performance industrial, COTS, military and telephony CompactPCI systems that require very high performance I/O expansion using PMC modules. The XCPC-9200 offers both front and rear-panel I/O support in a standard 6U CompactPCI.

An optional rear transition module, XCPC-9092 is available to distribute the rear I/O to 68-pin SCSI type connectors. All Xembedded products carry a 2 year limited warranty.

For additional information contact us at sales@xembedded.com or visit our web site at Xembedded.com.

The XVME-6200 VMEbus processor board is the newest in the  expanding product offerings from Xembedded. The XVME-6200 can be used in applications  requiring all cabling out the rear of the chassis with the XVME-990 rear transition module, this includes video, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet and serial ports. For “head-less applications requiring no display, keyboard or mouse, the XVME-690 offers console mode operation using Com port one, this includes the ability to setup BIOS. The board is available in both standard and extended temperature ranges. The XVME-690 has the following features;

256MB to 2GB of DDR, EEC memory

64-bit, 66MHz PCI-X PMC site w/optional rear I/O

Dual 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports, switchable from front to rear

Vita 31.1 (optional w/P0 installed)

Three serial ports, one can be configured for RS-422/485

Printer port

Three USB 2.0 ports

Two SATA-150

Optional on-board 1.8” hard drive

Two EIDE ports to support up to 3 EIDE drives

Stereo Sound with input and output channels

If more expansion is required beyond the on-board PMC site, up to two XVME-976-209 carrier boards can be added to expand the capacity of the XVME-690 to five PMC modules. XycomVME provides a robust software support library for all popular operating systems with built-in applications to get you up and running quickly on the VMEbus and talking to other modules. XycomVME has always offered whole product solutions for processor and I/O modules and has become a single source for data acquisition and control products with the support you need. XycomVME’s approach in their development has resulted in the elimination of the classic hardware/software finger pointing.

Ann Arbor, Michigan – January 21, 2009

Xembedded, LLC, a XycomVME company, has announced the XPMC-6710, the fastest PMC processor card in its class. The XPMC-6710 provides superior performance for applications such as communications, simulator systems, defense/aerospace, industrial controls, and digital signal processing.

The XPMC-6710 is a PrPMC (Processor PCI Mezzanine Card) with a high-performance 1.4GHz PowerPC® 7448 processor, 2GB of DDR2 memory, two gigabit Ethernet ports, and two RS-232 ports. The single-width XPMC-6710 offers advantages over other solutions, providing the ability to update the CPU with ease while maintaining the rest of the subsystem I/O. The XPMC-6710 elite-grade Compute Engine gives OEMs outstanding computational density to perform leading-edge pervasive computing. The PPC7448 includes the 128-bit AltiVec vector execution unit found in previous PPC74xx devices, with enhanced support for out-of-order instructions. The on-board temperature sensors and battery-backed Real Time Clock on the XPMC-6710 ensure reliability in any application.

The XPMC-6710 works with other Xembedded products to provide additional processing power for custom applications. A single XPMC-6710 card can be used with our XVME-6520 7448 PowerPC® VME processor module to provide an extra PowerPC® processor. Two XPMC-6710 cards can be used on our XCPC-9100 CompactPCI dual PMC carrier board, which features an integrated 8-port Ethernet switch to link the processors with each other and an Ethernet network for distributed processing.

The XPMC-6710 utilizes the XPIM-710 PMC I/O Module to convert the rear I/O signals to four standard RJ-45 connectors – two for Ethernet and two for RS-232.
